Ali is a lead Yoga instructor certified by Yoga Alliance 500 E-RYT and he has a YACEP education which means he internationally recognised to teach yoga instructors and issue certification for them. He has been engaged in teaching and learning yoga in different countries from last 20 years.

He can teach Ashtanga, Hatha Yoga, Vinyasa Flow, Yin Yoga, Restorative and Bikram.

Ali is a personal trainer from AFPT academy in Norway with extensive study on anatomy, diet and rehabilitation and certified as deep tissue massager.

He studied philosophy of Yoga at the Oxford University and is an Ayurvedic Life-Style Consultant with a deep knowledge of Vedic Astrology.

Ali has two master degrees in Linguistics, ethnography, cultural Studies and globalisation. The subject of his thesis is: Yoga: Sport or Spirituality? A comparison of practitioners views and practices in Norway, with yoga literature. You can read his thesis HERE.

In addition he is a: Running Instructor, Pilates, Swimming, Cross-training and core training instructor.

Welcome to Hot Yoga Stavanger!

We are located at Tastagata 34, Stavanger. Hot Yoga Stavanger offers hot and normal yoga and pilates classes, but our main focus is on hot trainings. Bikram, vinyasa flow, yin yoga, hot pilates, yoga for beginners, restorative yoga and meditation classes are what we offer most. Bikram, vinyasa and pilates classes are a complete workout where the entire body is engaged, they are dynamic, active practices designed to work on the muscular half of the tissues.Yin classes allows us to work on the other half of the body, the deeper tissues of our ligaments, joints, deep fascial networks, and even our bones. The subject of Restorative and meditation classes is our mind.

The training studio is heated to 40+ degrees with 40+ percent humidity. Bikram classes are 90 minutes with 26 postures and two breathing exercises, they are an intense workout for any fitness level. We also offer a 60 minutes Bikram express class.

Vinyasa classes are also for any fitness level, they will help individuals to increase strength, build muscles, increase flexibility, improve stamina while at the same time the body goes through an amazing purification and detoxification.

Our Pilates classes improves flexibility, builds strength and develops control and endurance in the entire body. It puts emphasis on alignment, breathing, developing a strong core, and improving coordination and balance. Instructor modify the range of difficulty from beginner to advanced based on the level of individual participants.

General expression is that people experience weight loss, increased energy and improvement of health when starting hot trainings. 

Hot training stimulate hormones and improve the immunity system, it makes the metabolism stronger and balanced, reduce stress and increase concentration.

Bikram Yoga's twenty-six posture exercises systematically move fresh, oxygenated blood to one hundred percent of our body and restore all systems to healthy working order. By regular practice one can tone the muscles, vibrant the good health, and a sense of well-being will automatically follow.

Bikram yoga is beneficial to sufferers of anxiety and depression, as well as those who have back and joint problems. conditions such as depression, diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, asthma, insomnia, high or low blood pressure, thyroid and weight issues may experience significant improvement when a regular and consistent Bikram yoga practice is included as part of a treatment program.

Bikram yoga is an unchanging sequence of postures in a heated studio, designed as a rejuvenating exercise to strengthen the entire body.

Workshops, courses and classes are non-refundable.

If you cannot make it to class please cancel in the website minimum 2 hours before the class starts.

We lock the door before the class starts, and if you are late you will not be able to attend the class. Thank you for your understanding.

Doors are open 15 minutes before the class starts. Please notice we have more than 15 parking place along the building which is free. Please do not arrive last minute. We lock the door before the class starts.

Always bring a yoga mat, a big towel and water with yourself, these are the only things you should bring into the Bikram class. 

In Bikram class we focus on stillness, try to remain still between postures with the exception of drinking water if necessary. Pay attention to the instructor. If you need a break stand still, sit Japanese style or go to the child pose or lay down in Savasana head towards teacher. Breathing is key; apart from the breathing exercises breathe through the nose.

For other classes you can bring any props you like. We recommend a pair of blocks minimum. You can buy them here at the studio if you like.

Please leave any personal belongings outside the studio inside dedicated cupboards for a clutter free environment. Doors are locked after class starts, however you are responsible for your belongings.

Make sure you stay in the room for the full class. The first few classes may be demanding, however it gets better by the time. Take as many breaks as you need and focus on your breath. You may lay down in Savasana or go into the Child pose if you need a break. It is important to do the positions correctly and mindfully rather than pushing yourself. Please respect your body and never do anything that hurts or doesn’t feel right. Please tell your instructor if you have any concerns, injuries, pregnancy or anything else that may be relevant.

Please do not speak during the class, from the moment we step into the room we practice silence. You may meditate before and after class.

Please wear something that is easy to move in and not too much clothing and better to not wear lotions, perfume or make-up.

Drink at least 2 liters of water 24 hours before your class, and plenty of water after. It is advisable to drink as little water as possible during the class, only little sips. We highly recommend daily fresh juices to balance your electrolytes, especially right after a sweaty class. Do not eat 2-3 hours before the practice, and do not drink a lot of water right before practice.

Advance class bookings and membership purchases should be completed online using our website hotyogastavanger.no all prices are listed in Norwegian kroner. Reservations can also be facilitated by phone and walk-in registration is available. All classes, and memberships are non-transferrable and non-refundable. To register yourself as a member you must be at least 18 years of age. Students under the age of 18 are required to provide written consent from a parent and/or legal guardian. Registration details provided must be correct and complete.


Refund Policy

All classes, passes, and memberships are non-transferrable and non-refundable. Courses and workshops are non-refundable. In the event that a course or workshop is cancelled, registered students are eligible for a refund or may select an alternative and equally priced course or workshop option.

Terms & Conditions

GENERAL

All purchases of services (classes, workshops, events) are non-refundable.

Purchases of products are only refundable in new and unused condition up to 3 days after purchase.

All students must have a unique online account associated with a unique email address. Friends and family members may not share the same email address.

Because Hot Yoga Stavanger’s rates are already much less expensive than all other studios in the area, no discounts will be given on class packages, intro offers, or unlimited packages.

Every effort is made to hold class on time. The schedule is subject to change without prior notice. Please check the online schedule for the most up-to-date schedule. Hot Yoga Stavanger is not liable to refund, transfer or offer compensation of any kind for classes that are late, changed or cancelled for any reason.

Please arrive at least ten minutes before class.

Please check in at reception before each class.

Payment must be made upon booking. No students will be permitted to sign-up for a class, workshop, or event as unpaid unless it is a free or donation based class. Unpaid classes or membership payments will be back-charged.

Hot Yoga Stavanger is not responsible for the safekeeping of your personal belongings.

The front doors will be locked 10 minutes into every class. For safety reasons, no one 10 or more minutes late for class is permitted entry and leaving class early is strongly discouraged.

You agree that you have been examined by a qualified medical practitioner within the past six months and have been found by such practitioner to be in good physical health and physically able to perform all the classes.

It is the responsibility of the student to notify teachers of any previous injury, illness, or conditions that may impact their practice.

Classes at Hot Yoga Stavanger may be physically strenuous and you voluntarily participate in them with full knowledge that there is risk of personal injury, property loss or death.

You will follow all instructions given to you by Hot Yoga Stavanger teachers and you acknowledge that any failure to do so will be at your own risk and may cause injury.

In attending classes at Hot Yoga Stavanger, you agree that neither you, your heirs, assigns or legal representatives will sue or make any other claims of any kind whatsoever against Hot Yoga Stavanger or its members for any personal injury, property damage/loss, or wrongful death, whether caused by negligence or otherwise.

Hot Yoga Stavanger reserves the right to refuse entry.

Prices may increase from time to time to reflect increases in cost and benefits.

Terms, Conditions, and Fees are subject to change without prior notification.

By booking into a class you automatically agree to the above terms & conditions.

 

CLASS CANCELLATIONS & BOOKING ETIQUETTE

If you do not show up for a class, you will be charged for it and you will be removed from the class. If there is an exception to this rule, it will say so in the description of the class as well as at the time of purchase. For these exceptions you will be fully charged for a class that you sign-up for and do not attend or the class will be removed from your package. Students with unlimited packages will be charged the single drop-in rate for no-showing to a class under these terms.

Normal classes can be cancelled if the number of attendance is less than 3 people .

Workshop and event cancellations must be made 24 hours prior to the start of the reserved workshop or event. If you do not attend or cancel within 24 hours of start time, you will be fully charged for the workshop and will not be able to use the credit for a future workshop.

Workshops, events and trainings are non-refundable.

Credits will not be provided for enrollments canceled by student.

Please cancel if you are unable to attend a class or workshop to make your space available to others.

 

Yoga Classes 

Gear to bring: mat, towel, and water bottle. If you do not have a mat, we have a limited amount of yoga mats to lend you for 50 kr.

No shoes are allowed in the yoga studio space unless it mentions for a class to bring your indoor clean shoes.

No cell phones are allowed in the yoga studio space.

Please review Studio Etiquette in advance.

 

Class Packages With Set # of Classes

Class packages that have yet to be used may have the amount of the package transferred to an account credit or a different package as long as any difference is value is paid upon transfer.

10 Class Packages will expire 6 months after first use.

5 Class Packages will expire 3 months after first use.

Class packages may be shared between students. The same expiration dates apply to shared packages.

 

Unlimited Packages

Unlimited weeks, months and years may not be shared.

Unlimited months expire 30 days after activation.

Unlimited years expire 365 days after activation.

Unlimited packages that have yet to be used may have the amount of the package transferred to an account credit or a different package as long as any difference is value is paid upon transfer.

 

Introductory Offers 

Our new student specials are only available to brand new students, no matter how long it has been since you have been to a class at Hot Yoga Stavanger.

Only one per student is permitted.

All promotions are non-transferable and non-returnable and cannot be shared.

Clients found to be buying the Intro offer more than once will be suspended and charged any additional class costs they may have incurred.

 

Monthly Auto-Renew Memberships

Monthly auto-renews cannot be shared.

You will be charged 745 kr on the same day of each month for your yearly auto-renew and 945 kr for your monthly membership.

Membership fees will automatically be charged to your bank card.

You can update or change your credit card in your online account or in studio.

Yearly Auto-renews can be frozen up to 1-months per calendar year (January-December) unless you have a note from a doctor. Your subsequent monthly auto-payment will shift forward by a commensurate number of calendar days. Class cancellation for yearly members is 12 month and December, we can cancel membership only in December. Pause requests must be in made in writing by emailing post@hotyogastavanger.no

Please allow 48 hours to process request.

Your auto-renew monthly membership can be cancelled at any time in writing by emailing post@hotyogastavanger.no If you cancel, you may lose your existing rate. Please allow 48 hours to receive and process your cancelation request.

If your monthly auto-payment fails for any reason, then your membership may be cancelled and/or you may be assessed a fee.

It is your responsibility to ensure there are sufficient funds available to cover the monthly auto-debit. Should a payment be declined for any reason, Hot Yoga Stavanger reserves the right to process payment at any time to settle any debt owed.

Hot Yoga Stavanger is not responsible for additional bank fees that you may incur from your bank. Bank fees are under the terms and conditions of contractual agreements that lie between you and your bank.

If auto payments fail for 2 payments or more, Hot Yoga Stavanger may cancel the membership and you will be ineligible to sign-up for an auto-renew membership in the future.

All account debts must be settled before cancellation of membership can be finalized, this includes all late cancellation and no show fees incurred.

We reserve the right to cancel memberships.

 

GIFT CARDS 

Gift cards can be redeemed for classes, workshops, programs, account credit, and/or retail purchases.

Gift cards can be purchased and sent electronically through our online store or in-studio.

Gift cards are non refundable and not redeemable for cash.

Google: If you provided us with your first name, last name, e-mail address, and phone number by filling out the contact us form on our website, your information is collected and stored on Hot Yoga Stavanger’s Google Drive on Google.

Your information can only be accessed by Hot Yoga Stavanger.

Your full name, postal address, cell phone, email address, emergency contact name and phone number, and date of birth, provided by you when registering to schedule and purchase classes at Hot Yoga Stavanger.

All such information is strictly protected and used only for delivering the content and products the user has signed up for or purchased.
